This is the entrance to the Zoo's new
children's area.
The goats tug on the rope as kids turn the wheels. When the rope gets
too taught, the goats give up and release the tension on the rope, making
the letters fall with a satisfying clatter.
If there aren't any kids around, there are electric motors to power the wheels
as people walk past.
This video was shot before the area had opened, so there weren't any kids
around and its working from the motors.
The part of the job I enjoyed most was making the goats.
They are made out of soft aluminium sheet. I learnt a lot about panel
beating in the process!
