COLLECTING BOXES FOR JERSEY MUSEUMS

	NOBBY 1997 A commission to make a portrait of a local lifeboat man as a collection box for Jersey’s maritime museum. He rattles the money in his tin as you approach, and nods and puffs his pipe when you give him a coin. He cost Ł3.5k to make and to my amazement collects Ł5k a year.

SIRE DROGO 2000 Nobby’s success lead the museum's accountant to commission a collecting box for Jersey's Mount Orgeil castle. Sire Drogo opens his book of Court Records as a visitor approaches and points to a page showing the fates of tourists who have not paid their dues. If you give him a donation, he reopens the book at another page, giving you a temporary pardon to enjoy his territory.
