Water is
constantly pumped to the top of the clock. The gardener hoses a pond, which fills a tall
cup. Every time the cup fills up (about once every 15 seconds) it tips up, raising
the dog's leg and opening a valve which makes him pee. A small amount of water is tipped
into the perspex tube on the right which shows the minutes.
On the hour the minute tube empties. A variety of chiming mechanisms also activate -
including a swany whistle and a snare drum. A cup full of water is also tipped into the
left hand tube, (which has the hours marked on the copper strip alongside). |
