LAUNCHPAD TIMER
(in collaboration with Will Jackson, 1996)
This was made for the Science Museum's Launchpad gallery  to herald their regular science shows. It obviously worked as a way to get the audience settled down, because whenever we went to mend it  the explainers told us they hated starting shows without it.

The clock hand starts rotating very slowly and the explainers move their heads, keeping track of the time. Every time it completes a revolution the digital time on the left counts down one and the gong on the right chimes. The clock hand (and explainers heads) rotate faster and faster.

Finally, the clock hand springs out and the numbers fall off the dial.
