WOODEN ANIMALS
These animals were mostly made as presents for friends and family. I borrowed them back for a show at the Crafts Council gallery in 1979 called Press View.

When tipped forward, its wings spread, its mouth opens and then soda suirts out.

BOAR SAFE, 1978
The tusks are the dials of the combination lock - only when they are rotated to the right position will the head open. To stop anyone carrying the whole animal off, I put a microswitch in one of its legs and loud alarm inside, powered by a car battery. Somehow the battery spilt and there's been a hole in Simon's carpet ever since.
